I got my B.A. degree at UCSB in 2022 majoring in Geography with GIS Emphasis, and a Minor in Architecture and Urban History. My hometown is Gaobeidian, Hebei, China, a town with comfortable living quality.
Currently I am working in UCSB MesoAmerican Research Center as the lab manager, leading Maya archaeological site mappings, geospatial model development, and land cover change tracking on the sites of El Pilar, Belize and Tikal, Guatemala.
I am passionate about the philosophy of using geospatial methods to analyze social inequality and emphasize social justice under climate change or in smart city construction. Areas I have explored include changes in snowpack and melt water in Lake Tahoe, California; travel behavior for different gender groups with different status of employment; and natural resource and yield analysis in South America and Yunnan coffee-producing regions in China.
Through this website, I plan to display my work done through various research projects that I completed and am taking on. If interested you may view my current work projects if I can answer any questions, feel free to reach out by email
